Knot

While this work uses steel to describe something that is often expressed by the texture of a flexible "rope", Anton POON's use of hard steel to represent a knot offers another way of understanding a knot: it is accompanied by collision, with certain violence, and does not necessarily mean that there is a compromise that ends in harmony, but perhaps in a state of perpetual collision. The work can still stand in an irregular state of entanglement, making the viewer confront such a collision.
