Blooming Roses
In "Blooming Roses", the artist expresses the roses so vividly with smooth brushstrokes and splendid colours, full of youthful vigour and vitality.
The roses in this work are presented in an abstract way. When we look at a singular rose, it may be difficult to identify exactly what it is at first sight, but the assortment of florals and the vase surrounding it, would give us the delightful hint that this is indeed a rose in bloom. The colourful petals are in a glistening glow because they are under the profusion of light. From this perspective, we can see that Wu has acquired a very deep understanding of how to refine the composition of each element within the painting, in order to create this seemingly easy and simple, but in fact complex and unique work that is crafted down to the last detail by using masterful skills.
